      Ehab Meselhe, Ph.D., P.E., was honored with the Coastal Stewardship Award at the 10th annual Coastal Stewardship Awards Banquet on March 12.
Dr. Meselhe is the director of the Center for Louisiana Inland Water Studies and is an assocaite professor with the Civil Engineering Department at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Dr. Meselhe is also the assistant engineering division manager at C.H. Fenstermaker & Associates Inc. and plays a key role in the firm's coastal restoration and modeling efforts. Dr. Meselhe was awarded for his work as a member of the numeric-modeling sub-group of the LCA planning team. His modeling expertise has been instrumental in the development of an oil spill contingency planning tool for NOAA. He has served as a committee chair for the American Association of Civil Engineers and is also an associate editor fr the Journal of hydraulic Research.
